Valentine Aprile (b. 1972, Somerville, New Jersey, USA) is an American multidisciplinary artist of Indigenous Mexican and European descent, currently living and working in Baltimore, Maryland. She holds a BFA in Visual Arts (1995) and MA in Arts Education (1997), both from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

Her practice spans painting, dance, site-specific and theatrical performance, video, filmmaking, acting, and directing—work that has taken her across the United States, with her paintings having also been exhibited in The Netherlands. Select honors include a Maryland State Arts Council Creativity Grant for Project Planning, a Figure Painting Grant from the Art Students League of New York, multiple short film and performance awards, a Leeway Foundation Window of Opportunity Grant (Philadelphia, PA), and a New Edge Residency Award (Philadelphia, PA).

Su práctica abarca pintura, danza, performance teatral y site-specific, video, cine, actuación y dirección—un trabajo que la ha llevado por todo Estados Unidos, con sus pinturas también exhibidas en los Países Bajos. Entre sus reconocimientos destacan una beca de creatividad para planeación de proyectos del Maryland State Arts Council, una beca de pintura figurativa de la Art Students League of New York, múltiples premios en cortometraje y performance, una beca Window of Opportunity de la Leeway Foundation (Filadelfia, PA), y un premio de residencia New Edge (Filadelfia, PA).

Kenia Fira (San Luis Potosí, Mexico) is a documentary photographer, journalist, and writer. Her work explores memory, identity, social violence, and human connection through image-making, chronicle, and short-form narrative.

For several years, she has worked in journalistic and documentary coverage in San Luis Potosí, producing reports, interviews, and visual documentation focused on social issues, cultural expressions, and community experiences. In 2024 and 2025, she received recognition at the San Luis Potosí State Journalism Awards in the interview and feature reporting categories.

Alongside her journalistic work, she develops a personal practice centered on poetry and short fiction, as well as narrative projects that combine photography, symbolism, and emotional exploration.

She currently continues developing independent projects situated between journalism, literature, and visual storytelling.

Kenia Fira (San Luis Potosí, México) es fotógrafa documental, periodista y escritora. Su trabajo explora la memoria, la identidad, la violencia social y los vínculos humanos a través de la imagen, la crónica y la narrativa breve.

Ha trabajado durante varios años en cobertura periodística y documental en San Luis Potosí, realizando reportajes, entrevistas y documentación visual de problemáticas sociales, manifestaciones culturales y experiencias comunitarias. En 2024 y 2025 recibió reconocimientos en el Premio Estatal de Periodismo de San Luis Potosí en las categorías de entrevista y reportaje.

Paralelamente desarrolla una práctica personal enfocada en la escritura de poesía y cuento corto, así como en proyectos narrativos que combinan fotografía, simbolismo y exploración emocional.

Actualmente continúa desarrollando proyectos independientes entre el periodismo, la literatura y la narrativa visual.

Grecia Monroc, también conocida como Reina Alacrán, es una artista multidisciplinaria mexicana cuya práctica transita entre la música, la escritura, la performance, el cine y la creación visual. Su trabajo combina dream pop, texturas electrónicas, poesía y atmósferas cinematográficas con un fuerte interés en los paisajes emocionales, la transformación y las narrativas simbólicas.

Además de su proyecto musical Reina Alacrán, ha trabajado como actriz, dramaturga y escritora, desarrollando un universo creativo que se expande entre el escenario, la pantalla, el sonido y la imagen. Su imaginario visual mezcla surrealismo, cultura pop, glamour y romanticismo oscuro, construyendo mundos inmersivos donde la estética y la música se vuelven inseparables. A través de su lenguaje sonoro y visual, Grecia Monroc explora la identidad, la fantasía, la memoria y el ritual emocional desde una perspectiva íntima y experimental.

Grecia Monroc, also known as Reina Alacrán, is a Mexican multidisciplinary artist whose practice moves between music, writing, performance, cinema, and visual creation. Her work blends dream pop, electronic textures, poetry, and cinematic atmospheres with a strong interest in emotional landscapes, transformation, and symbolic storytelling.

Alongside her music project Reina Alacrán, she has worked as an actress, playwright, and writer, developing a body of work that expands across stage, screen, sound, and image. Her visual universe combines surrealism, pop culture, glamour, and shadowy romanticism, creating immersive worlds where sound and aesthetics become inseparable. Through both music and visual language, Grecia Monroc explores identity, fantasy, memory, and emotional ritual from an intimate and experimental perspective.

Osvaldo Rodríguez Ruiz (Patillas, Puerto Rico) is an author and illustrator. He earned his bachelor's degree in Digital Animation from Atlantic University in 2023. Since 2021, Osvaldo has developed his artistic career through self-teaching, exploring digital animation and illustration while merging traditional and digital techniques. Despite the challenges of living in southeastern Puerto Rico, his work has gained recognition. He has showcased his art at events such as Tintero: Festival de Cómics (2023), Manga Criolla (2023), and Comic Con (2023), among others.

Osvaldo’s work is defined by the use of primary colors and a playful style inspired by figures like Dr. Seuss, Waldo, and Charlie Brown—blending fun and whimsy with deeper themes. During his time at Sierra Madre, he gives voice to insects in his debut written work, Bicho Raro.

Desde 2021, Osvaldo ha desarrollado su carrera artística a través de la autoformación, explorando la animación digital e ilustración mientras fusiona técnicas tradicionales y digitales. A pesar de los retos en el sureste de Puerto Rico, su trabajo ha ganado reconocimiento. Ha mostrado su arte en eventos como Tintero: Festival de Cómics (2023), Manga Criolla (2023) y Comic Con (2023), entre otros.

El trabajo de Osvaldo se caracteriza por el uso de colores primarios y un estilo juguetón, inspirado en figuras como Dr. Seuss, Waldo y Charlie Brown, fusionando la diversión con temas más profundos. Durante su estancia en Sierra Madre estará hablando a través de insectos en su primer escrito titulado Bicho Raro.

Kevin Alexander Rivera Vázquez (Guayama, Puerto Rico) is an artist born and raised in the southeastern region of Puerto Rico. He completed his university studies at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, where he earned a degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on project management. A self-taught painter since childhood, he specializes in fine arts, realistic painting, and murals.

His passion and talent have led him to exhibit at various festivals and art shows, including Pequeña Paris Art Fest, Monument Art, the Capitol of Puerto Rico, Plaza del Caribe, among others. Kevin’s artwork serves as a visual representation of his unique perspective and imagination. Through the use of dynamic color palettes, bold brushstrokes, and striking compositions, he creates pieces that are both captivating and thought-provoking.

Kevin Alexander Rivera Vazquez @kevinalexanderriverav (Guayama, Puerto Rico) es un artista nacido y criado en el sureste de Puerto Rico. Completó sus estudios universitarios en la Universidad de Puerto Rico en Mayagüez, donde obtuvo una licenciatura en ingeniería industrial con enfoque en gerencia de proyectos. Pintor autodidacta desde pequeño, se especializa en bellas artes, pintura realista y murales.

Su pasión y talento lo ha llevado a exponer en diferentes festivales y exposiciones de arte como Pequeña Paris Art Fest, Monument Art, Capitolio de Puerto Rico, Plaza del Caribe, entre otros. La obra de arte de Kevin sirve como una representación visual de su perspectiva e imaginación únicas. Mediante el uso de paletas de colores dinámicas, pinceladas fuertes y composiciones audaces, crea piezas que son a la vez cautivadoras y estimulantes.

Libia Rocha (Durango, México) is an artist based in Mexico City. Her work—shaped by influences from abstract expressionism, pop culture, and gender theory—explores identity, body dysmorphia, and the fluidity of being.

In addition to painting, her practice includes poetry, instant photography, and urban interventions with stickers.

She has participated in both solo and group exhibitions in Mexico, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom, including Sin Temática (Indra Gallery, London, 2025), Efímero: Arte, Vida y Muerte (Centro Cultural Juan Rulfo, Mexico City, 2024), and Medusa: The Power of Women in Art (Van Zaig Gallery, California, 2024).

Through her work, she invites us to inhabit the fluidity of identity and the human experience.

Libia Rocha @mexican_haiku (Durango, México) es una artista radicada en la Ciudad de México. Su trabajo, influenciado por el expresionismo abstracto, la cultura pop y la teoría de género, explora la identidad, la dismorfia corporal y la fluidez del ser.

Además de la pintura, su práctica incluye la poesía, la fotografía instantánea y la intervención urbana con stickers.

Ha participado en exposiciones individuales y colectivas en México, Estados Unidos, Francia y el Reino Unido, incluyendo Sin Temática (Indra Gallery, Londres, 2025), Efímero: Arte, Vida y Muerte (Centro Cultural Juan Rulfo, CDMX, 2024) y Medusa: The Power of Women in Art (Van Zaig Gallery, California, 2024).
